Hayford Farm -
A Brief Histoy

John Jones senior moved to Hayford in 1933 as a tenant farmer with wife Clarice, 6 month old John and 8 cows.

During the war years farming became very prosperous and in 1954 the farm was bought from the local estate for £8500. The family continued a mixed farming business until 1998 when the decision was made to change from mixed and dairy farming into poultry and arable farming.

In 1998 we supplied local businesses and small shops - the remaining eggs were sold to a packer. In 2007 we decided to build our own ‘Lion Code’ packing centre and we now market all our own eggs.
